Another Week in America

Another week in America, Obama bashing still in vogue and congress still scrambling to enact decisions behind the privacy of closed doors. Tea Party groups are rubbing the chamomile enduced stupor from their eyes to see who's really looking at them in the mirror and people in general are back to business as usual. Unemployment continues to rise, another bubble is waiting to pop, and the national debt continues it's journey to the stars as our men and women in the armed forces are putting their lives in danger for the too big to fail banksters on a daily basis. Millions of children in the US go to bed hungry each nite, thousands of people cross our southern border illegaly every day, and as corporations spend billions of advertising dollars to promote their wares that are produced in foreign countries political action commitees and their lobbying friends are setting up the next roadmaps to financed politics. Pretty sad when we can so easily forget the crimes of the last administration for the crisis of the "More of the Same, No Hope" new administrations continuation towards New World Facsism, and settle for a return to "More of the Same, No Hope" government just so we can say the "voice of the people" was heard, squeak. The Revolution of 2010, as things are progressing, would be more appropriatley named, "Americans Wake up and go Back to Sleep". Candidates are lined up this year to almost sure bets they will be elected, but if none of the below issues are rolling off their tongues as priorities, we're being set up again, set up to fail.

Congressional Reform Act of 2010

1. Term Limits: 12 years only, one of the possible options below.

A. Two Six year Senate terms

B. Six Two year House terms

C. One Six year Senate term and three Two Year House terms

2. No Tenure / No Pension:

A congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security:

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund moves to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, Congress participates with the American people.

4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan just as all Americans.

5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

6. Congress looses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

7. Congress must equally abide in all laws they impose on the American people.

8. All contracts with past and present congressmen are void effective 1/1/11.

The American people did not make this contract with congressmen, congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

9. The 14th amendment to be clarified, "corporate personhood" abolished and free speech is for real people only.

10. Tighter restrictions on offshoring jobs or a higher unemployment tax or penalty for those that do.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work. Key word "serve".

Now I'm no rockit sighentyst, but this parade of Born Again Americans needs to set their pace to a different drummer and not buy into just anything.......don't settle........never say; " It's a start"........The time is now to do this right, let's not let easy get in the way of difficult and let's do everything it takes to put the right people in office. Once we've done this, we can move into phase 2. (hint.F. E. D.)
